Since 2006, Jason and Emily Atkins have been serving in Guinea-Bissau, a country of 2 million people on the western coast of Africa. It is one of the ten poorest countries in the world. Pastor Debbie assisted in the work there in January, building the walls of a vocational shop. The emphasis of their ministry in Canchungo (about 30,000 inhabitants) is providing clean drinking water, building machines for the water filter factory and other welding projects, providing jobs for those in crippling poverty, teaching and discipling at the local church, and building relationships to share the Gospel of Christ.

Specifically, we would like to provide through this offering for the additional costs needed for their building supplies that have increased significantly in the last three years. It will make an huge impact on this ministry for many years to come. Plus, they have an urgent need for engine parts in their truck to keep it running for the worksite.
